NADGEE by Nature Cottages carries AAA's
rating.
The cottages each offer 3 bedrooms, spacious lounge, a fully
equipped kitchen, a combination of reverse cycle air-conditioning
and TV with DVD and fully equipped laundry. These scheduled
get-a-way and superbly comfortable cottages are situated on 38 acres
of semi-rural bushland and fern gullies encompassing an abundance of
native wildlife and birds.
Wonboyn Lake is only 3 to 4 hours from Canberra, 6 to 7 hours from
Melbourne or Sydney. Nestled 35km south of the historic whaling town
of Eden and 23km from the Victorian boarder. Eden celebrates the
whales migration from September to November with it's much loved
(acclaimed) festival in October.
The adjoining
Nadgee Nature Reserve is managed by NPWS to protect its natural and
cultural values. The northern part of the reserve has been allocated
for low key visitor use and provides opportunities for walking,
picnicking, fishing, beach and lake recreational activities.
The magnificent Greenglades and Bay Cliff beaches of Disaster Bay
offer long sandy isolated beaches and rocky headlands, approximately
5 kms from the cottages. A two wheel drive vehicle track (sandy)
will take visitors through Nadgee Nature Reserve with pockets of
rain forest and towering old forest eucalypts.
NADGEE by Nature accommodation is ideally located within walking
distance to Myrtle Cove where there is a launching ramp and BBQ
facilities overlooking picturesque Wonboyn Lake. Grazing kangaroos
and colourful birds surround our cottages at Wonboyn so come and
relax with us and stay a while.
