Within the local area, guests can fish, bushwalk and picnic, launch a
boat, hire a tinny or try sea or lake kayaking. Anglers may choose
from local beach, lake or estuary fishing, or, for the more
adventurous, a game fishing charter from Eden or Merimbula.
A short scenic drive through Nadgee Nature Reserve brings you to Greenglades on Disaster
Bay. Here your time can be spent rock climbing, snorkelling, scuba
diving, surfing or leisurely strolling along the four kilometres of
pristine beach.
For more information go to
bushwalks.
Venture further a field and you can watch whales at Eden – a perfect
spot to see these huge and graceful mammals migrating from
Antarctica to warmer waters (September – November). Some 100 years
ago, Eden was a major whaling centre, now described through its
whaling museum. Current whaling activities centre on Eden’s famous
Whale Watching Festival (mid October annually). Local festival
activities can be accessed via

Nearby Eden and Merimbula offer ideal facilities to play a round of
golf, and both provide a wide range of restaurants from casual
eating to
fine dining.
