As
dawn breaks, the morning mist lifts from the gullies and
majestic gums that have quietly stood guard for centuries over this
ancient landform. Grazing kangaroos and wallabies, the sounds of
lyrebirds scrolling through their repertoire and other bush sounds
greet our guests in this secluded haven.
From your secluded getaway, you can breathe in the scents of the only
declared coastal wilderness area in New South Wales. A short
excursion will take you there.
Close to the village of Wonboyn is Myrtle Cove launching ramp and
jetty, where boats depart, taking anglers to fish for any of the
numerous fish species gliding through the waters of the lake and
river. A few minutes more and you are on the beach: stretch your legs
and explore or just sit and feel the white sand slip through your
fingers as you savour the experience.
